I have been using Autocad maybe since 1991 starting with v2.1 and when installing Autocad there is always a DWF viewer installed with the product. What does it open? It can't open a dwg file so what does it do if all my files are in the dwg format?

DWF = Design Web Format
Design Web Format - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Some County Surveyor data is (or was) downloadable as .DWF in these parts. I haven't seen much of it lately.

DWF files are similar in function to a PDF file. They are generally worthless to me.
