viewport issue in acad

how do you lock the scale of a viewport if you have already zoomed in so much you cannot see the edge of the viewport to right click it to lock it?

Set the drawing to "paperspace" mode [PS] first, then zoom out till you see the vport. Now, select the vport, open the properties dialog (double click the vport), and lock it.

Now you can zoom in or out when in ModelSpace or PaperSpace

From the command line

-VPORTS>LOCK>(ON or OFF)>ALL

remember to use the dash in front of the command vports.

If you single click on the viewport, your properties window should display the information for the viewport (scale, etc). There is an item for "viewport locked" hit the pulldown for yes or no.
