My graphic scales do not fill in the are drawn as just rectangles lines and are not filled in. I just loaded my CS 2013 with embeded AutoCAD and we still have the same problem. Any ideas on how to get these to fill in?

Thanks

Check to see if you have fill turned on. Type Fill.

There's an AutoCAD variable setting called "FILMODE". You may have to type SETVAR on the command line to reset it. 0=off, 1=on. Be sure Filmode is set to 1.
You may be able to reset it under the AutoCAD setting pull down also.

Check under Settings -- System Variable Editor and scroll down to the FILLMODE variable. Check to make sure it is On and click Change:

Ladd and others,

That did not fix it, any other ideas? I also had this issue with my CS2011 with AutoCAD. Although in there it did work for a while and then stopped.

thanks

Darn. I thought I found it.

Have you tried Technical Support([email protected])?

You'll have to post the solution once you find it, of course...

Good luck man.

Edit... Remember to REGEN after turning that feature on/off?

The Carlson barscale is essentially a block that contains "SOLID" components. According to AutoCAD Help regarding SOLID entities:

>2D solids are filled only when the FILLMODE system variable is on (1) and the viewing direction is orthogonal to the 2D solid.

If your barscales aren't filling in, it is possible that the barscale block you are using (or propagating) might have been re-defined. You could check this by inserting a barscale, explode it and then inspect the component parts. Another test would be to manually draw a SOLID entity and see if it fills in.

It must be something with the printing. The screen shows a fill, plot preview doesn't. Its strange becuase my old program on this computer had the same problem (but didn't start with the problem) and when I installed 2013 on this computer it has the issue, but the 2013 on my laptop does not..

Some kind of plotting option somewhere...............

Thanks
