A week or so ago I posted about trying to get my TDS Ranger Survey Pro 4.5.2 to recognize a Geoid12A file. I received a few tips and emails from fellow posters here, but I was not able to get the data collector to recognize a Geoid12A file. I could not even get it to recognize a Geoid09 file.

I tried creating a new*.csd file, and uploaded it to the data collector. After opening the new*.csd file, I was not able to load either a Geoid09 or Geoid12A.

Thanks to Daniel Shearon, I also got an answer to my question regarding the "quick key" options for quicklock when running the data collector in robotic mode. It appears that TDS did away with the option of starting a function with a key on the keyboard on the newer versions.

I am not sure if I will upgrade the 4.5.2 unit to 4.7.1. The 4.5.2unit has some nice features for robotic that the newer one does not have, but the newer one does run the robot, but it lacks a few things, but also has a few nice added features.

Thanks for all of the suggestions and advice. Unfortunately, it does not look like I will be able to accomplish my task. I did not find a download for 4.6 that a few posters mentioned.

Thanks again

We got a new GPS system about 18 months ago. We upgraded to survey pro 5.XX at that time so it would recoganize the new receivers. I had the feeling at that time that TDS was a product that was on its death throes. As I recall they were bought by Trimble and there just wasn't much support being dedicated to it.

I know, I am an old TDS guy. I liked the software and could use it. I am currently using survey pro 5.1.
