I am using CARLSON Survey OEM 2015, I am not able to get the linetypes to plot. I have all the tabs for "plot linetypes" checked but still comes out as continuous line. I am thinking there is setting somewhere else that I can't find. Thank you for any help.

Check your plot style table editor to be sure the linetype setting is set to "Use object linetype"

Type LTSCALE and make sure that the value shown matches your drawing scale. This can especially be an issue when toggling between paper space and model space.

I prefer to set the LTScale to 1/2 the drawing scale for better line definition.
Next trick: List the offending line. Does it show the proper line type or does it show "continuous"?
Another thing: Be sure to set your coordinate settings to "World".
All of these also affect the display of line types.

I JUST figured it out. I right clicked on the model tab and went to page setup. The box under the pen assignment was unchecked to show plot styles.

Another reason could be that in 2015, once you dimension a line the program is changing your line type scaler. If you set your LTS to be 0.5 under settings, drawing setup and then dimension a line, check to see if the line type scaler automatically changes to 1.00000. This will screw up how your lines look and plot.

If you see this as a problem, let Carlson Tech support know so that they can get a patch issued.
