I am looking at purchasing a Cannon 785 with 36" roll feed. Does anyone have experience with this model or Cannon in general?

After 14 years it is time to replace my HP 450C. It still prints black but the color went out. It needs a new cartridge carriage which is available on line from third party parts vendors. If anyone is interested in the 450C I would let it go for a donation to Beerleg.com and shipping.

Thanks,
Jim Vianna

We have a cannon 755 and are vary happy with the speed and quality of the printing.

Jim,

Talk to Jerry at Northco. I previously ran a Canon IPF700 that we purchased from him and that was a great plotter. After I left my previous company they ended up throwing it in on a trade deal to get a new map copier and also a new Canon plotter. Word on the street is the new Canon is just as nice.

If you want to check it out I'm sure they'd let you stop in and see it. Call Dave in the Malta office.

Now, about that 450... It still runs black or it would need the new carrier to run black...? I may be interested!

Ahh, a day late and a dollar short...

Anyways.

If you do go with a Canon, we went through a couple clogged print heads due to lack of use. It seems they don't flush well after plotting. After the second replacement went in under warranty they asked that we kindly run at least one plot on it a couple times a week to keep things flowing. Wasn't an issue and maybe they've rectified that... But all in all it was a great machine, fast and vivid.
