Check out Steve Vickers article Taking Your Scan Potential to New Heights in the latest POB.
He discusses the "in-museum" scanning of historic aircraft exhibits in the Aero Space Museum in Calgary Alberta by Focus Corporation.
Enjoy.
Cool project; I grew up next to Offutt AFB/SAC and saw a lot of old aircraft. We'd go to the Air Show every year, good, cheap, family entertainment.:-D
Technology is flying into the new in all industry.....;-)

[sarcasm]They actually had a scanning article in POB?[/sarcasm]

I don't mean to belittle the technology, which is incredible, but T.L., you nailed my response before I got to post it:good:

Indeed amazing technology ...
we're not into scanning (yet)
Great way how the company set up a way to get familiar with the new tool by taking the time to do a couple of days of museum scanning and a good PR job too!
Are the cold temperatures not an issue to do scanning the whole year?
Chr.
Hey Dugger,
I grew up near SAC too...and went to the airshow every year from 67' to 77'. We had a neighbor that was an SR71 pilot.
