Does anyone know of flexible time keeping program or app for idiot-phones? I use a standard diary to write up my progress/time spent on jobs, mileage, expenses, etc. on a daily basis to breakdown my time sheet for billing. However getting some of the crews to do this daily is like pulling teeth, so the office wants me to look for an electronic compromise.
We are looking for an droid compatible program for time keeping use in the field. We need to be able to track time spent on different tasks for several jobs. In the past at the end of each day we would estimate time spent on each task and mark it accordingly on the time sheets. For most of our crews they would only have 1 or 2 tasks daily, but that is getting hectic for me as some days I may hit 2 or even 3 job sites and work on 2 or more parts of the scope at each. We would like something that can be viewed as a spreadsheet at the end of the week or month to help with billing notations.

I have been to the play store and seen many apps promising this and that has anyone tried any of these? If so which ones would be worth looking at?

Thanks for any input/help with this search.

Look at TimeStation. It is more of a timeclock type app but could easily be "tricked" into thinking that certain tasks were employees. you print a bar code that it scans. you can run reports also

How about using Google Spreadsheets? You can access them anywhere (the Cloud!). Its essentially an excel spreadsheet.

OR you can create a form in Google that you set to different values (like a survey) and it would accumulate into a Google Spreadsheet. Both of these should work decently on a phone/tablet.

I use "iSlips" on my iphone.

http://www.brainfreezesoftware.com/

The only caveat: it needs Timeslips to be installed on an office machine. We used Timeslips to generate billing, so this was as no brainer for us. But if you're not using timeslips, Im not sure this is how you'd want to go.

I know I am hijacking your post, but I am looking for something like a Day Timers application.
This would be for an Iphone.
Thank you for any input you can provide.
