Would someone be kind enough to send me some Leica LS10 .csv files? We’re getting an LS10 this month, and I’d like to play with the files that you would download to your office computer for processing. Just in case we don’t purchase Leica Infinity, I’d like to figure out a way to process the files myself.

CSV files are just text files. Double click a csv file and it will open in notepad. Right click it and pick Excel from the dropdown list if you want to see the data separated into columns.

Thanks for the reply. What I’m looking for is the format of the file so I can write a program to extract and process the data. What’s significant about the 464mhz in your user name?

If the LS10 can output a GSI text file, I have Leica's original DOS based line adjustments software.  I still use it with my DNA03.

@field-dog   464MHz is the radio frequency I use on the base station 🙂

Thanks for the offer, but I feel uncomfortable using software I haven’t paid for. Could you send me part of a CSV text file so I can examine the format?

I think the software I'm referring to was originally free-ish.  It came with the original Leica digital levels back in the 90's.  Hell, it might not even work on Windows 11 come to think of it, I have not run it in a while.  The DNA03 outputs a GSI text file with all of the dredged Wild/Leica numeric instructions.

On another note, you can adjust your lines on the DNA03 pretty simply.  I would assume that option is still available on the LS10.

The new LS10 and salesman will be at the office this month. Will be watching YouTube videos on the LS10 until then.
