My flashdrive with lots of cad files on it somehow go a bug from an old computer that is not hooked up to internet or email. When I try to access it, I get "unformatted. Would you like to format now?" Is there any way to debug the flashdrive?

ww CO PLS

I have seen that myself.

Do as my kids , did years ago, with some of their 'Nintendo' games , blow air into the connector and try a different USB port. Sometimes it works, if it does back-up the files elsewhere. If could be caused by dirt or humidity.

Try finding an old WindowsXP machine, even though Win7 should be able to read anything.

the drive might have failed.

Seems to me that if one simply answers "no" to the formatting query, one can at least attempt to look at what may or may not be on the disc.
