I have 2013 and 2014 running inside acad. I stay with 2013 because of a "change" they made in 2014. In 2013, doing a point list of screen points lists the descriptions in the drawing. In 2014, the list has the descriptions in the CRD file. Not good. Their workaround is to use the report formatter. What a PITA. My workaround is to make a separate, empty CRD file. Then you get the drawing descriptions. Until they fix it, I'll stay with 2013.

Why not have the CAD descriptions match database (crd) descriptions?

That would defeat the whole purpose of field-to-finish. We don't want a point list to have descriptions like EOA1 or UTFH. We want the list to use the descriptions that F2F assigns to the points in the drawing, like "Edge of Asphalt" or "Fire Hydrant".

I feel you Roadburner. We make great use of the F2F codes. We are running 2012 and are about to update. I will have to think about it now. Are there any other idiosyncrasies I should know about?

2014 updated itself yesterday, so I've got the latest. Now when I do a point list with the report formatter, I get

ERROR: Weighing attribute key (GRID_SCALE2) failed!
ERROR: Weighing attribute key (Z_SCALE1) failed!
ERROR: Weighing attribute key (COMBO_SCALE1) failed!

like 500 times. Agghh
