I know I can't get my 5600 TSC2 fixed anymore so I come here first.?ÿ

I set up and turn on my TSC2 and it begins connection as normal.

Then it goes rogue: the screen alternates between the level bubble, the connection message, and the main menu repeatedly and uncontrollably, can not do survey. Please help

A 4 pound engineers hammer should solve that problem.

I understand that the last full moon of the decade will be at its highest today 12.12 at 12:12 pm.

Maybe walk away, do something else, and try again tomorrow?

For my 2?› it sounds like a connection issue.?ÿ Intermittent power would cause a shut down, but, a loose Tx or Rx might manifest in the way you are seeing.?ÿ Cable, radio or BT?

I know you're kidding, but I still had to check it out.?ÿ?ÿ

The metadata missing.?ÿ Whose time and highest in the view where? A full moon must appear nearly opposite the sun.?ÿ So you must mean 12:12 AM if the local time coincides with the place.?ÿ Just after your own noon you can't see a full moon.

The astronomy program Stellarium says that at 12:12 am today the moon is highest at about 94 degrees 0 minutes west longitude. That's a good bit east of the Revered Bovine, and a long way from Warren in Colorado.

So the moon isn't what caused his problem.?ÿ He needs to chant while turning three circles counterclockwise and hold his mouth just right while pushing the master reset button.

last full moon of the decade

The end of the decade is 2020 not 2019...

The roaring 20's will start at 12:00:01 am January 1, 2021

@warrenward

Try a different cable or switch around to see if issues move.?ÿ The cable ends are extremely small wires, oxidize easily and are very hard to clean.?ÿ I always had a spare new cable around as standard operating procedure because of the design of the Hirose ends

Have you done a reboot by holding down the power key??ÿ Whenever my TSC-2 acts up that's what I do and it solves the problem.

A bad cable or a bad antenna will both give you fits, the antenna being the hardest to figure out. Easy fix if you can find one though.

@jflamm

that's what I was thinking.  I kept toothpicks handy to run around the edge of the screen for that.

@norm-larson

This cable is the biggest pain in the ass ever.  For me, it always hit right at the waist and over time that connector would break down internally.  I should have thought of that before the dirty screen issue but I had purposely cleansed that from my memories. It was a revelation when the cordless TSC3 came out.

@jflamm

Yes, the cables were a complete pain, but, a necessary step in robotic evolution
