I have a Basemap containing survey points which I have XREF'd into another drawing (Sheet 2). I am attempting to insert symbols in Sheet 2 and find that no matter what my OSNAP settings are they are not recognizing the survey points in Basemap when inserting symbols. They are recognized by other commands, ie. I can draw a line and it snaps to the survey points just like it always have. I have audited Sheet 2 as well as saved it to a drawing with another name, but still can't get the OSNAP function to behave properly. Anyone have any ideas what is happening? This is the first time I've seen this behavior after 35+ years with AutoCAD...

Thanks!
That is strange...In the drawing you are X-ref'ing are the point actually points? Meaning that were they created in AutoCAD such as Microstation or Carlson??ÿ
I would open up the x-ref drawing and make sure the points are actually points - if not convert them to AutoCAD points, save and try again.?ÿ
Next I would try to bind the X-ref drawing into your basefile and see if that works. Be advised, this is a great way though to get the "circle of death fatal error" if there are duplicate points in both drawings.?ÿ
