Hey everyone! Happy new year! 🍾

As you may have noticed, RPLS.com has been running pretty smoothly. I'm still here moderating, obliterating spammers and scammers, helping folks with specific issues, and just generally keeping the place running as securely and as fast as possible. It still takes me about the same amount of time as it always has to keep things running well, I just haven't been very active in regards to posting updates and such for your reading enjoyment. 😉

I haven't been pelting you with crazy updates, features, or anything like that. And that's not going to change. I have no plans in 2026 or for the foreseeable future to make any big changes. The forums run well and I'm focusing my time here on just keeping it safe and fast.

With that said, I'm open to minor feature requests. It seems like the forums are currently working pretty much like we want them to. As I said, I'm not planning any huge changes, but if there's some small, reasonable feature that you've been jonesing for, please let me know in a reply below. I can't guarantee that I will implement all suggestions, but I will definitely research and consider all reasonable requests to see if they are feasible and don't cause disruption to our current functionality.

It's exciting to see our traffic climbing rather quickly and consistently over the past year. About two months ago, we hit 700,000 unique visitors and 20,000,000 (yes, 20 million) pageviews in a 30-day period. That's incredible. Even considering the holidays, the past 30 days from today were over 556,000 unique visitors and 16 million pageviews. From a security standpoint, over 213,000 threats were blocked last month. Equally interesting is that about 2/3 of our traffic originates from Google searches. Most of the rest of it is direct, since many of you make a point to visit by typing it in or from bookmarks on a regular basis.

A big thank you and note of sincere gratitude to those who have a paid membership plan and/or donate to keep RPLS.com online. It is very helpful and appreciated.

I hope you all have a wonderful 2026 and that your job, business, and family continue to thrive.

Good to hear from you, buddy.  I think there are still quite a few of those who have been here for years, just not posting as frequently.  Noticed  Loyal Olson and Nate DeAryan in the past few days.

Dag iedereen

groeten

@christ-lambrect Your post showed here (Massachusetts, USA) in Dutch. I had to copy-paste it into a translator to read it in English. Good to see you back on the forum.

@peter-lothian Oh, I keyed that in on the Ipad yesterday in a Chrome browser where all posts were in Durch translated. I'm on the laptop now and see and English flag in my Chrome browser. So it is Chrome translating, I think, not RPLS.com.

Anyway, glad to have made it back here.

I've always just assumed that you had really good english, Chris. It's nice that the translate technology is as good as it is because my dutch is very weak.

I read it too, and thought I was having a stroke.
