After a few years of planning, preparation, development and design, I've finally launched RPLS.pro, a directory for Land Surveying businesses across the United States. Basic listings are free and there's no obligation to upgrade to a paid plan.
This is the first iteration of RPLS.pro and is already pretty robust and will improve your visibility to potential clients in your area. As time goes on, I will be working on improving the reach in an effort to improve sales for your business. RPLS.pro will be helpful for your search engine optimization (SEO), as backlinks are very important for good SEO. A backlink is a link to your website from another legitimate website.
You've likely seen other business directories, but they are usually all-inclusive for all types of businesses or are only for a specific area. If you've done any kind of SEO campaign to improve traffic to your website, you may already understand the importance of something like RPLS.pro.
The more listings we get, the more we will be taken serious. Furthermore, I'll be marketing the heck out of it to consumers that may be interested in hiring surveyors in their area.
I welcome you to sign-up for a free account today!
If you view the directory there, you'll see that there's already some listings. That's because I've already added any surveying businesses that are currently my clients or have been my clients in the past. You may (or may not) have noticed that I also soft-launched RPLS Websites here recently, and those paid plans include free upgraded RPLS.pro listings.
Anyway, please feel free to check it out, sign-up and build your listing, and of course, provide any feedback to me here so I can improve the website and fix any bugs that you discover. Thanks!

"Location Map value is required" error prevented me from completing a listing. I wasn't able to get past the Google Maps third-party embed box, even after hand-entering the location. Pressing Accept had no effect.
@jim-frame Looks like I had a boo boo in the privacy stuff. Hopefully it will work for you now. Thank you for letting me know! 🙂

Closer, but still not there. The third-party embed box went away, but the map wasn't able to find my address, even when I limited it to city and state.
@jim-frame I just logged in as you and was able to find your address. But I don't want to post the screenshot here, for privacy reasons. I'll send it in a PM.

I think maybe I got it this time after forcing a page reload. The address showed up on the map, and it passed the validation. It's not showing up in the listings yet, but I'm thinking that it might take a bit of time for that to happen.
Thanks!
@jim-frame I must apologize, looks like I had another boo boo related to storing data from the map, which causes the listing save to fail.
In other news, I want to recognize that you are always one of the first to test things and report back to me with feedback. I very much appreciate your efforts!

What about a goverment contact section? I am one of the only survey contacts in seven states for our agency for reservoirs and transmission easements. Then you have federal highway, railroads, county contacts, cities, FEMA …….
I gave it another go, but it's not showing up in the listings, at least on my system. I haven't tried deleting the cache or cookies, though.
Funny how you can test something to death in development and then simply flipping it to ON results in multiple things breaking.
Anyway, I think I got it going now. @jim-frame I used you as a test to get your listing submitted, but now you should be able to edit it. You don't have to sign-up for the plans at this point, you just need to visit your Account page and click the link to view your listing, then edit. Or you could find yourself in the directory, view it, then edit from there.
Thanks!!

I made a listing a couple days ago and had zero issues but it's still not showing in the directory.

@squirl Unfortunately, you'll need to create your listing again. But since you've already signed up, you can just login and create your listing from your account page. No need to go through the membership process again.

Created my listing again and hit submit...
The page goes here but it's a blank white page, and doesn't appear to be doing anything.
Did it again to make sure I wasn't crazy...same result.

@squirl Ok, your listing is live now, but you'll likely want to make some adjustments. Just visit your Account page at https://rpls.pro/account and you'll see a link to your listing, where you can edit it.
For everyone else, if you've already created an account, check your Account page to create or edit your listing. As always, I'd love to hear your feedback!
Oh, and if you have any suggestions for service types to add, I'm all ears. 🙂
