Hello all,

I'm just a surveyor from NH that works in primarily in the heavy civil construction industry to pay the bills and I dabble in the residential stuff as a side hustle.

I'm here to learn and connect with experienced professionals. Any guidance and advice is always appreciated.

?ÿ

I dabble in the residential stuff as a side hustle.

Using your own equipment, under your own license, with knowledge of your employer.....of course

@jph

Yes to all. Self employed, 1 man show. I used to be an employee for a large construction company and learned that if I want to use and actually keep my license, I need to be the one who calls the shots. Went out on my own, converted my employer into a customer and never looked back.

@husker796

If you go south is Colorado the first State you would hit?

If I go north the first State I would hit is Missouri, by a few miles.

Have land in Oklahoma where if I go north I hit Colorado.

@husker796

We drove between Chadron (where my wife's brother lives) and Benkelman once.?ÿ We somehow made it to the true southeast corner of the Panhadle.?ÿ Had a neighbor's daughter living in Sidney for several years as her husband was an administrator in the community college there.?ÿ Someday I hope to make it to Kimball as I grew up near the now-extinct town of Kimball in Kansas.?ÿ Started out at Kimball Grade School.

@holy-cow Small world for sure. I'm in Sidney. My kid goes to that college! I definitely love it here, cool little town, no stress. Kimball is a nice little place. Slowly dying but we've seen the oil exploration crews up here a lot lately so maybe there'll be another boom? Ha! Unlikely
