There is a couple of people that I remember from the old board.

One being TDD, aka Ted Dura Dura. BECAUSE SAYING MY LAST NAME ONCE ISN'T ENOUGH. He always typed in caps.

Also Hub Northing. The last I knew, still in jail.

How about Keith. Can't remember his last name but an old government surveyor. Always had some good perspective on government surveys but was a little bit to much into the politics.

TDD and Keith were not as nice as they should have been to Wendell and Angel. They have been terminated. Ol' Hub is still making license plates.

Keith & Tdd were given the death sentence here with a permanent ban.
Occasionally there is a post about Tdd and some posters plead for a reprieve.
Occasionally there is a post about Evans and his incarceration.

There are old posters that are missed but some still show up from time to time at times.

Some don't like gene kooper, Christian claussen, Sam Clemons

Sad story

I bet the gal that got strangled, nearly dissolved in a bathtub of Drain-O to be buried in concrete, is probably really distressed about the lack of legal representation of the convicted.

Cry me a river.

Nothing personal, I just don't think people convicted of violent crimes should be afforded representation at the tax-payer's expense to continually attempt to get out. That would be absurd.

with those 2, its more like in-your-face book. The strong opinions emitted from them travel very narrow paths prior to their release.

Those guys I don't miss because they either didn't post serious discussions or posted the same thing over and over.

I do miss Deral, Gene Kooper, Sam Clemons, Paul Plutae, John Giles, and several others.

As well as the departed Richard Schaut and Jobo.

Three of the people named throughout this thread were banned due to extremely rude, unprofessional and insulting emails sent and aimed at me personally. In all three cases, I looked past the many rude emails sent after previous temporary bans by giving them at least three opportunities to make it right. In every case, they either sent emails that were worse than previous emails or they posted publicly here on the forum in the same rude, unprofessional manner. It's not like I didn't give them chances to make things right and act like adults and I wanted desperately for things to work out with all three of them. But I do have my limits and will not tolerate such behavior. I have better things to worry about. They can take their crappy attitudes to Facebook and have at it. In fact, at least one of them did, making a point to slam me all over Facebook every chance he got.

Interestingly, I've since unblocked all three of them without saying anything to them. I don't know exactly why I open myself back up to people who have written abusive things directly to me, but I guess I just have hope for everyone. Well, okay, most everyone. 😉

All that said, it's interesting how peaceful it's been around here without them and several others that have been banned indefinitely. I'm sure some of them have found ways to come back as different personas or lurk, but that's okay as long as they aren't causing trouble. All I really want is for people to be able to learn, share and have fun here on our little forum.

Don't get me wrong Wendell, I understand why you would have banned them. They went out of their way at time to cause trouble. I was just curious if they were even alive.

It seems like Paul Plutae had great survey problems that he would post and was very intelligent. And maybe I'm wrong but it seems like he kind of went nuts later and got extremely angry. It seems like his wife died if I'm not mistaken when he started to get angry.

Paul still posts on the CLSA forum and does so regularly.

You are correct, his wife died and it hit him hard, as would be expected. He even left California for a while but has been back for a few years.

On the CLSA Forum he posts under LS 4722.

B-)

Sent him a PM. Maybe he will answer.

B-)

Sad story

What about them fellas convicted of murder and spent 37 years in prison, part of it on death row? The lame eyewitness, a 12 yo kid is all that convicted them. That and being coerced by police to sign a confession (I believe of them was mentally handicapped) Finally released. After 37 years, one of them was a teen when he went to prison. I don't know who said it, but it goes something like this "tis better that 10 guilty men go free, than to hang 1 innocent man". Too many people are doing time due to judical misconduct or fallible witnesses.

found it:

In criminal law, Blackstone's formulation (also known as Blackstone's ratio or the Blackstone ratio) is the principle that:

"It is better that ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer",

We're also missing Alan Chase and Christie O

Sad story, with tears

> What about them fellas convicted of murder and spent 37 years in prison,...
They have a lot more than the testimony of a 12 year old on Hub. He is a vicious career criminal and a habitual, compulsive liar.

Yeah, no worries -- I knew you were asking out of curiosity. But I didn't know if you or others in this thread were aware of the issues. 🙂
