Hello everyone,
I am trying to find a download site to download the latest version of Leica Geo Office. We don't have a current support contract with Leica, as we only have one network rover, a Leica System 1200. We just reactivated this system after it sitting on the shelf for about a year or two from what I understand.
I need to find the latest version of this software. I have tried to sign up for the My Leica website or My Leica World, whatever it is called, and I cannot get logged in, and when I tried to rest my password, it takes days to get a reply back from them to get a rest password link.
Any advice or link would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Jimmy
Jimmy, i think you should look up your local sales agent and buy through that person. at least that is how it works in this area
Thanks Moe.
The dealer they bought the unit from is no longer a Leica dealer. I just need a way to download the program. The website is less than user friendly, from what I can tell. I cannot even access it for whatever reason.
I have an older version, V1.0, on a CD. There is a newer version installed on a laptop we have with a broken screen we are using, but have it hooked up to an external monitor.
I might have to break down and contact Allen Precision in Atlanta.
Thanks,
Jimmy
Edit to above post: I was finally able to reset my password, but unable to find a place to download the software. I don't have the receiver here with me at the office, the crews have it in the field. I'll have to register it this afternoon or this weekend.
In MyWorld you can go to myProducts and then Add Product. A new dialog box will appear and you can select the software tab. You then enter the dongle number or entitlement ID for LGO. Once the product is entered you can click on it and there will be a software tab to download the program. Your ability to install and license LGO on more than one PC would depend on whether you have a node lock or floating network license.
Ugh. Yet another dealer-that-is-no-longer-a-Leica-rep.
Thanks for the tips. I'll have to get the serial numbers on Monday morning before the guys go to the field.
What's your email? I'll Dropbox it to you.

Thanks!
Version 4.0 doesn't require a license and can be downloaded here: http://www.fltgeosystems.com/uploads/tips/documents/9.zip
You will need a newer version if you want to post process GLONASS data.

Thanks guys. This place is awesome!
precision-geo-inc, you mention no license but you'll need a later version to post process glonass. Does that mean that this version without a license will be able to post process gps?

No, unfortunately that still requires a dongle, but you can analyze data and export in .txt or rinex format. It's still useful without the dongle.
Let me know if you are in the market for a dongle, I have a parallel port model available for a reasonable price. Works great with my Dell laptop dock.

Thanks again. Has anyone had any luck getting this to install in Windows 10?
No, I'm afraid not. I run it on Windows 8.1 with XP in VirtualBox which is free, but you need an XP license.

Jimmy,
I have LGO 8.3 running on Windows 10.
What do you need LGO for? You say you do not have a current CCP LGO but did you at one time? LGO is an additional purchase from the equipment. If you can find out when your CCP for LGO went out I have a couple of versions of LGO 7 & 8 installation files on my server which I could drop box to you.
As mentioned above, you will need a hardware lock (dongle) to process anything on versions lower than 8. In LGO 8 they got rid of the dongle in favor of license servers but you need to get an 'entitlement ID' from Leica.
Thanks again everybody.
I recently took a position with a company as a survey manager, and closed down my solo practice. We have a Leica 1200 network rover, as well as a Leica 500 base rover setup. The 500 system is not currently being used.
The 1200 system has only been recently put back into service in the last few months. I have no idea when the CCP went out.
I would be using LGO to strictly download the files off of the compact flash card, view the data, and export rinex files for static, and point files for RTK surveys to being into my Carlson software. I post process using Topcon Tools and GNSS Solutions as a second check.
Thanks again,
Jimmy
I think LGO "tools" is the free version (at least used to be).

It used to. That version is no longer supported. If you can get it to run.under whatever OS you're running it is a viable option.
@jimmy-cleveland Hi Jimmy I know that is a old post however I wonder if you still have the LGO v1.0 and if you can share with me a copy. My pc was stolen and I lost my cd, and I need to upgrade a FW to my GPS
