Just watched the launch live. GPS 2F-12 will be placed in slot F1, rounding out 2 2F satellites in each orbit. Previously GPS 2A (SVN 23) was deactivated. It was launched in 1990, unbelievable service.

Most of the 19 GPS IIRs or IIR-Ms are currently past their 7.5 year design lifeline.

The next phase GPS IIIs have a design life of 15 years.

And, they will last 30 yrs. UNLESS they put windows 10 in em, then they will crash when windows 11 comes along! (wink).

Three hours after launch GPS 2F was considered it it's proper position in space, so testing begins.
