As the title says I would like to buy a used License of the Civil 3d 2018 version or earlier.

Maybe from a surveyor that is retiring.

As always, licenses are non-transferable. I couldn’t sell you my drivers license, my hunting license, or my fishing license either.

I once worked for a company that purchased another survey business after the owner died. When I opened the desk drawer there was a copy of Autodesk software. I called to confirm the license and was told the owner had never registered it. So Autodesk allowed it to be registered to us.

Like Norman OK posted, a license may not be transferred or sold. Other than Pirate Pete sofware sales (sails?) the only oppotunity of getting a used sofware product registere woul be the situation I described.

Historic boundaries and conservation efforts.

Anything higher than the 2004 release is going to require an auth code back from Autodesk in order to run. I doubt you could obtain that even if were the legitimate user.

If the Civil3D is a seat with perpetual license then you can get authorized. Fair warning Autodesk doesn't make it easy

Contact Autodesk They may refer you to a local VAR. Back in 2012 we were able to transfer a C3D license (I think it was 2008) from an engineer who was retiring to our organization, which we've updated every year.

A few years back I was working for a company that got sold to another. Under those conditions all the software vendors were willing to change the name on the licensing to the new company name.
