Some of you have been around long enough to remember The Cut Sheet. We ran it years ago as a roundup of outside news — trade press, rule changes, whatever was moving in the profession. It was far more work than it was worth, and eventually we killed it.

It’s back, and it’s built differently.

The old version went out looking for news every week. This one starts here. The spine of each issue is the forum: one thread that gets a real summary, a few more worth a look, plus what’s new on the Line & Grade blog and anything new in the Marketplace. Outside news goes in when there’s news. When there isn’t, the issue doesn’t suffer for it — that’s the part that sank it the first time, and it’s why this version should stick around.

I also moved the Witness Corner articles into it, so the archive runs back to August.

New issues publish Thursday and go out by email Friday morning. Every issue lives at https://rpls.com/newsletter/ whether you’re on the list or not, and you can subscribe on that page.

If something’s happening in your state or at your shop that belongs in it, post it in the forums or send it to me. A fair amount of what ends up in there is going to come from you.
