I was supposed to follow the boss with my machete & hammer and set up 60 acres in mountain country tomorrow but he just put it off until friday. Supposed to be 90 and high humidity w/ severe storms PM tomorrow so, I was not looking forward to it and was somewhat anxious as I don't like working in the heat. I'll take 0 degrees F over 90 anyday. Friday is supposed to be mid 70's. I'll saw a few more logs in the morning and retire to the office to work on a Shoreland Protection Plan.

That's not hot enough for the boss to tell us to stay home.

My A-hole boss will look back at me from the mirror tomorrow morning and tell me to suck it up and get in gear. It should be about 6 degrees cooler tomorrow. Only 91.

Well that takes the fun out of it! I was working in 99 degree heat with no wind, and I highly recommend coolmax fabric shirts or something eaqually light; it's replaced my favorite day-glo.

Years ago while still working in the field regularly, one cold winter day, our boss told us to stay close to the truck and leave the truck running so we could stay warm. I promptly asked if we could work on the same principal during the summer. Of course the answer was no. That was about the time I knew I had to work indoors.....

I'm getting my yard sales signs ready for Saturday. They read "Open 7:00 AM until 100F"

Might be the shortest sale in history of SW Oklahoma.

Hell, it's over 90 and humid from April until December here ... I'd take that cold weather over hot too. You can put on as many layers as you want when it's cold ... you can only take off so many when it's hot.
