That's going to be how things go around here for the next week. We have been terribly dry for a long time. Not now. It's still coming down with more on the way. The only odd thing is that the standard day in October or November each year for this event is on a Saturday when EVERYBODY has outdoor plans.
The old farmers have always warned that one needs to get everything done they possibly can as soon as possible in the Fall because "one Saturday in October or November the sky will open up and it won't be fit again until Spring". The dismal season is upon us. Early nightfall plus many overcast days plus showers at awkward times plus a glaze of ice just thick enough to induce falls plus heavy fog in the mornings plus...................
I was up most of the night watching radar and listening for the thunder. Although the squalls have passed we still a good amount of showers lingering in the area as I speak. I did watch the precip roll across your corner of the map...it looked like a pretty big mess, I'm sure rubber boots are in order.
Still coming down with more to follow. The rural mail carrier is going to roll his window up and down several hundred times today.
We are talking about holding R/C boat races in our parking lot later today.
I heard they are qualifying for the Hydroplane Races today, on highway 18...LOL

First time ever on a mountain side, should be awesome!
Still precipitating. May need to get taller boots.
We get what's left of it Wednesday night and Thursday morning. Our forecast is for an inch and a half over ten to twelve hours.
Sounds like you're getting more than that.
Fall is my favorite time of the year! Its the best time to build projects due to a lack of heat. It's great and you get to hunt!
Yes, it's raining in Portland. So what?
Sun is poking out now. We had 1.49 inches at the airport in Greensboro from about 11pm last night to about noon today. Ditches are full, ground is muddy, and it's still raining down east.
