How well do they work in the woods and is the software hard to learn?

It works better in canopy than any other GNSS I've used (TOPCON GR-3, OLD (90's) JAVAD, and TRIMBLE 5800 to R-8#2) over the last 18 years.
The software took more time for me to unlearn what I was habituated to, than anything. Their tech support is really great;-).
The manual is 350 pages, however much of that is stuff I almost never use - like sim card, net working, static surveys, etc.

I am running GR-3RS and every time I update they get slower. How long did it take to be up and running the LS.

My experience was about three weeks of part time reading and practice. Unfortunately I have a severe hearing loss, so questions to tech support had to be by e-mail:-|, rather than using a cell phone and going through things step by step, after it was running.
I highly recommend this system to anyone looking to upgrade their GNSS.
There might be another Triumph LS user nearer than I had i.e., (several hundred miles away) :'( who could help.
You can update to the software any time you are near a WiFi. They really listen to their customers and will add/fix anything to the software that is an improvement ASAP

I think several hundred miles may be the nearest. Where are you? I really would like to see one in action before I spend that much money.

I think I am the closest customer support to you. I have been using my LS and Triumph 2 for about a year and a half. If you have any specific questions please feel free to contact me. I would be more than happy to help you any way that I can.

Matthew Sibole, PLS
