I am playing Fallout 4. Old guy and video games, .. what can I say. Several weeks ago I ran into a "surveyor's outfit" in the game and I thought you would like to see how the programmers see us. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Surveyor_outfit&apos ;">Surveyor Outfit wiki It does not have much protection and prevents some armor from attaching, so, I doubt it will get much use. Now if I just had an instrument to triangulate in some mortar strikes!
Sweet!
Here is sunscreen for surveyors.SPF 400
Perfect apparel for wandering thru the various degree of elements encountered in the field.
What is the gizmo on left wrist?
It is a Pip Boy. It is a computer that helps you in your adventures in the post apocalypse wastelands. They actually have an app and a plastic appliance you wear so you can use your smart phone and have one for real, ... and no that is not me, I just use the fake one in the game. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Pip-Boy&apos ;">Pip Boy
I just discovered that I can re-weave the outfit with "ballistic weave" and make it have a very good defense rating. Yeah, I am going to do that!

Those games are to complex for an (according to HC) old Geezer. But, I finally found the updated Lucas Arts games I love. 😉

B-)
Old guy game? How about Mystery Mansion? I played that on a Hewlett Packard minicomputer while waiting for serious programs to do long runs for my Master's thesis in 1982. It's one of those text-only adventure games with twisty mazes, predating Zork (It was a gruesome scene. The grue was ...). The https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mystery_Mansion_%28video_game%29&apos ;">Wikipedia entry for MM has the misleading title "video game".
It's beenhttp://www.tc.umn.edu/~sorem002/mm.html&apos ;"> ported to the PC and there ishttps://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mystery.mansion.adventure&apos ;">an app for it.

"Kings Quest - Quest For The Crown" on an AppleIIc 1984

The depth of mapping is astounding. I have been wandering around for over a month and still find a lot that is new
Ha I love this! I too am a guy who's too old to be playing video games. I saw that in Fallout 4 and was so excited till I used it and thought, "yeah, I guess I could wear that in the field"... but I'd rather have the power armor for walking through sloughs and thorny brush!
I did change my "Surveyor's outfit" by adding ballistic weave and now they are called "Armored Surveyor's Outfit" for a good laugh. It pumped them up to 110 on both armor and energy resistance, which makes them a very good alternative to the big clunky power armor suits. You can't place the light armor with the perks on top of it though, so, I am now using a set of military fatigues with ballistic weave with the light armor over it. You can still move fast and have good armor, the X-01 just sits at base camp, ... er, on a hard disc, in my XBox, in my man cave
