Just got my state exam results back... Looks like I'm in the market for a stamp!?ÿ
Any recommendations?
Just go digital, make your stamp in CAD.?ÿ Smudge free every time.
People can sue you now!
I've had a stamp for 23 years. I bet I haven't used it for its intended purpose 5 times.?ÿ I don't even keep it at the office any more.?ÿ
Nevertheless, congratulations!?ÿ?ÿ
@jph I probably will. I'd like one for symbolic purposes more than anything.?ÿ I've spent money on way dumber stuff.?ÿ
I use a local provider. The last one I ordered on-line the first two proofs were done wrong.
As for digital, I no longer allow it. My seal was stolen from a cadd drawing and used on a plat by an unlicensed dirt-bag. Everything is wet seal from here on out.
Look up your state specs, match that, draw in CAD, and use that to order a custom stamp
I liked this one:
@csk21?ÿ
Yes, definitely, congrats.?ÿ On passing the test, and not giving up and getting approved to sit.?ÿ The red tape involved in the NY process is much more involved than anything else I've done in my professional life.
Congratulations! When I got my license there was a business card from a company that makes stamps. I figured since that who the board recommended that's who I would use. I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing doesn't come in your packet. I of course could be wrong.
@hollandbriscoe?ÿ Congratulations. You will now be plagued with sleepless nights, wondering if your interpretation of the evidence on the survey you just signed & sealed, was the right one.?ÿ Remember, it is never too late to correct a mistake, only cheaper if corrected before your mistake is relied upon by others.
Congrats. Although I rarely use it these days, I went to a self-inking stamp many years ago and like it.
Oh, when I got licensed 35 years ago I ambitiously purchased 500 shiny brass tags with my PLS number on them. Probably have less than 25 on monuments. The only thing I use them for now is marking my ball on the putting green.
Congratulations.
Get an embossed seal and please don't call it a stamp.
Blessed and cursed on the same day.
?ÿ
I use mine to stamp all of my Survey Library books.
When I was first starting out a friend of mine died and left me his library. I thought it was cool to see that he stamped all of his books so I just continued with it.
Maybe I should go back through them and put a mark on the stamps so it cannot be scanned and used by someone else!
