Hello all, I have a sokkia GRX1 gps unit with gnss enabled an active. The problem I am having is that I am only able to get GPS and no Gnss when I connect to the RTK newtwork. Any ideas what could be going on?

I should add that gnss was working fine a few days ago. I fired up the unit yesterday and noticed that I was only reading GPS. I did not reset the unit or change any settings. I had been using the unit as is for almost a year. The license was purchased not leased.

Check If Your Network Is Broadcasting GNSS

It may be something that someone else has done.

I don't know if this has anything to do with your network but here in Michigan, MDOT CORS, there was a leap second event that was not accounted for when adding GNSS to the solution. I didn't get the message but noticed I could get my RTK to fix when I disabled all the GNSS satellites. After a couple days of this and realizing it was localized I called my equipment supplier and he informed me of the leap second issue and it was resolved over a weekend. This just happened last week.

It's funny you say that because I was just outside messing with the settings. I also disabled the GPS sats and only enabled the GNSS and I was able to get a fix but the sky plot shows as gnss sats not being read. I'm not sure what I should do here. Is it network issue that they will resolve on their own or is this an isolated issue I need to call and get resolved?

What network are you using? I've been having problem getting CORS (static downloads) data from the FDOT's network, but their RTK network seems to be working. I also can't seem to access UFCORS from the NGS, and can't get the OPUS page to open, either ... the page just times out. Seems like multiple problems with GPS data access happening over the last few days.

I'm the GeoNet Austin/San Antonio Network.

No one uses this unit other than myself. I bring it home everyday so no one has the chance to get their hands on it.

If you are tracking US (GPS) and GLONASS when autonomous but lose GLONASS when connected to a network, make sure you have the latest FW (4.1) in the receiver. Also make sure you are using RTCM3.1 data format.

What data collector software are you using. We had all kinds of problems with our sokkia and it turned out to be the data collector. we switched from TDS to magnet and have had no real problems since.

I'm using a sokkia sch2500. I'll try another collector in the morning.
