Last week I ran into a 7-year old site design that turned out to have units of International Feet instead of US Survey Feet as stated in the notes. It was also tied to an NGS monument along a road covered by large oak trees and power lines with a note ƒ??by GPSƒ? on the tie line. ?ÿThe observed vertical values shown on the map were off by 3-feet from the NGS published values. I found vertical differences in the site control that range from acceptable to 0.6ƒ??.
