I think the idea is how the coordinate quality suddenly jumps when initialization is achieved. But for me, the bidding doesn't begin until then.

Yes, you've got it Mark. The analogy occurred to me today. Of course, an auction doesn't ordinarily proceed that way. But RTK does.

Static GPS surveying is like two penguins talking on a iceberg. As soon as one says "do you have a bar of soap?" the other replies "what do I look like, an alarm clock?"
