Just got a phone call-
Me - How can I help you?
Caller - The City said I need a survey to put up my shed. I've never done that before. Do you have to pay for them or what?

Hoo boy.

My call yesterday, "I need a foundation verification, how much?".
Me: $300-$400 if I did not do the stake out for the buildings"
Client: Title lady has a list that says they can get them for $75.
Me: That's a very good price, you should use them.

Title Companies, gotta love em.

Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country. Typing class 9th grade!

Yesterday,

I need a copy of my survey (here we go)

I had a survey when we closed on the property 15 years ago but it got destroyed in a flood, and the village said I need one to get a permit for putting up a fence.

I'm calling all the surveyors in the phone book, I'm going down the list. Did you do my survey 15 years ago ?

True story

We didn't do her survey. (yes, I actually checked)

You should have said "I love my job so much, I'll pay YOU to complete a survey".

I have several extra ones in a file cabinet where I keep the round toits. They're from clients who paid for surveys but didn't bother to pick them up. Stop by the office and take a couple.
