Re-celling batteries BEWARE!!!

I've recelled 8 battery packs for 4 different instruments. As long as you match the battery type/voltage and use the same thermal overload device that you unsoldered from the old pack, you really can't screw up.

Duct taping a few AA's to a board doesn't count as recelling Perry 🙂

:good:

I have my Leica GEB87 (I think that is the number) for my TCA1100 done a couple of times at the Salem, OR Batteries Plus, no issues.

I have found compatible battery for my Topcon GPT 3000 series from Ebay for 50$.
Should I buy it or better look for the original?

I have mine done at Interstate Battery in Middleton, WI.

I'd stay away from Batteries Minus; too high prices and too low skill levels.

I've had batteries for older instruments re-celled by TNR batteries. Their prices and quick turnaround keep me going back.
