good work! Check out the time lapse video.
Neat! Thanks.
Some more interesting details
The Parbuckling Project web site has several diagrams and illustrations showing the underwater supports on which the hull is now sitting.
Now they will install the sponsons (flotation structures) on the starboard side so they can float the ship and tow it off to wherever the ship breakers' torches are waiting.

They had a live feed the day they raised it. I watched for a while checking in every hour or so and figuring how far they had gone by the brown stains on the side of the ship.
There sure were a lot of official and work boats running around all day. They held a press conference at one point not saying much just that it was taking longer than they expected. It sure took a long time to get everything in place for the lift and I have read that it is costing 800 million for the job. I guess they will screen their captians a little better in the future.
One can do a lot with 800 million dollars - the cost of the project.
It makes me wonder...what is the value of a partially crushed cruise liner that has been partially submerged for two years?
I've heard 20M in scrap. They are paying 800M to raise it and haul it out of there because the Italians would not allow them chop it up in place (environmental concerns).

Perhaps Foggy could pick it up cheap, strip that cheesy cabin structure, fix some sails, and turn it over for a quick profit.
