Staking the partition line of a 1000 acre boundary. Part of the deal was to put t-posts along the line (5800') every 300'.
It was painful to watch my son and his helper have to carry everything. lol
But, better them carrying it than you?
Look like a couple strong fellas...sure they can handle it
When they climb their own ladders of success they will reminisce about days like that.
Lol, if that's all they're carrying, they got it good...

Love it!
I have done so many surveys by just getting coordinates on the corner monuments and nobody ever seeing where the lines go... I remember a huge water tank with the division line going thru it once. OUCH!
Nice to see the young bucks getting some exercise too 🙂
a 1000 acres!!
thats like half the size of Connecticut! o.O B-)
Never surveyed anything that big.
a 1000 acres!!
The school district here is larger than Connecticut...
One of them fellows looks to be kind of tall. the other one not so much. I always hated being the tall one on the crew...
they look stout enough to use as replacements for a mule.
Now that's the fun stuff!
But, three guys?
Haven't had that many on a crew since the 80's.;-)

Yeah, a big kid and a wirey kid, they can definitely do it and probably party half the night before and after.
Don
Joe.
Right now I am sitting in Harris County, Texas. This particular county is approximately the same size as Connecticut and has about 1 million more people.
There are several counties in this state that are larger that the smallest 5 states.
Come out and visit. I can direct you to where I cut 4400+ acres out of approximately 12,000 acres I surveyed in an old railroad block in the Panhandle.
There are several surveyors in the West who have surveyed parcels much larger.
B-)
a 1000 acres!!
[sarcasm]Tough guy arent ya jim![/sarcasm]
I've heard that Randy is about 5'18", so my bet is his son is the one on the left.
