Topcon DS205. Local company was running a special. Came with Tesla DC with magnet software, 360 prism, carbon fiber pole, mount and wooden tripod. $19,995
It is pretty much identical to my topcon ES 105 minus the robotics. I am keeping the ES for a woods gun. Figured it was time to get a robot at that price.

Hope it works out. I've used the Tesla data collector with Magnet software in a GPS application for a short evaluation period, and found it worked well in that capacity. It took me a bit to get used to the system, but by the third day could do pretty much everything needed.

My experience with Topcon robots has not been the best, hope they have improved the systems. I did have one Topcon 9000 series robot that kicked butt, but used TDS software. The same instrument with the Topcon software, not so much.

I hope you like the tesla/magnet better than I did. Ran gps ok except tor long pauses while I watched spinning icon.

Lots of customizable features that I didn't want. Too many menus. Not intuitive. Heavy as all get out and worst of all the battery life sucks. Had to charge it at lunchtime if it made it that far and yes I did the battery update and had two batteries in it.

I just paid lots of dough and begged my sales rep to take them bck and sell me Carlson!
