It's a pretty big deal. Difference between swimming, and riding in a bass boat!
I got it last night. We were at the grocery store. (fathom that!) and along came the Fed Ex truck. I was sitting in the van, and reading wife was shopping. I could not catch the truck. I followed it for about a mile, and I realized he was driving like a BSM. (Barn Sour Mule) So, I turned around, went back to grocery store, and sat, waiting for wife to finish finding grub. Kids called me, and said "Your new Javad just came". He delivered it to them.
I unpacked it. First impressions are that it is WELL packed for shipping. We played with it, used the camera, took pics, and figured out the camera, and how to basically navigate the screens. The printed manual that comes with it is well done, but you are gonna need your glasses to read the smaller print. I already got one from Steve. Steve had a local printer make me one. Wire bound. 8-1/2x11. 360 something pages. I'd recommend that route. Bigger print, and more margins for your notes. Plus, you can read it, with your feet up, and without buying anything.
I am kinda sick right now. Flu symtoms. We were supposed to go to a wedding today. I'm too tired. Sore throat.
I'll occasionally post back a report.
I got a pretty standard configuration. Javad Triumph LS, as rover. Triumph 2 as base. And a Radio. With 5/8 antenna.
Batts were charged. If I knew what I was doing, I could open it right up, and head to the field.
The mono pod is cool. I can't seem to figure out how to change the orientation of the monopod, ie, rotate it. Relative to the LS. Does that ring at the top, rotate? Mine is pretty firmly attached to the monopod.
Time marches on. It's a big jump from Legacy E to Javad LS!
Shawn Billings has been A+ for support. He came to Arkansas, and demoed them for us, back in the spring. I think this is gonna work. While Shawn was gone on his mission trip (I think it was to Cambodia) I also spoke with John Evers. He walked me through the ordering process. He is alot like me. MORE RANGE, MORE POWER! Thus the 5/8 antenna. And, ground plane.
Nate
cool!
congratulations Nate, use it wisely.
Ahhh! Cool Nate! Time to get working! Get the mule and Big Help Ready! Your part of the world has big changes coming shortly! B-)
We've been treated to several pictures of your family over the years, but I do believe that this is the first time we've seen you.
Family pic's look much better....hehehe
I'm thinkin' since Nate has new equipment to keep him busy, there may not be anymore little ones comin' down the pike anytime soon....
.....Nah, I think Nate will still find time to TCB...

Yeah, he doesn't look anything like his avatar.:-D
It's strange how my mind forms an image of each poster from their wording, etc., which usually turns out to be quite wrong if we see an actual picture.
Nate, you look happier than a possum on a persimmon binge......:star:

Congratulations Nate, it is not possible to change the orientation of the LS relative to the pole. You can however loosen the bubble and rotate it if need be.
