Gotta go with the ARE. They are pretty tough, they can stand up to our group of bozos...

I got the ARE for mine also. I kept the tailgate, not the double doors in the back. Lift doors on both sides with a window on the passenger side only. That makes it easier pulling out in traffic at an angle. A window on the drivers side really serves no purpose.

I can send pictures if you like.

James

Love my diamondback with the linex coating. Not cheap, but it is great!

I went with a SnugTop for my last one. Same setup I always get, with side doors that double latch, and a double latch rear window. It does the job for what I need.

Always bought ARE for my other trucks, but this was a bit cheaper. The ARE seems much better quality in the locks, door hinges, and the rear light assembly. If I ever get another one, I'll go back to ARE

Pickupspecialties makes a great diamondback survey truck special

DiamondBack has many options for different sized and shaped openings

Both are strong enough to put an ATV on top

A regular camper shell is great if it has the side hinged windows that lift up like the tail gate window.

I've seen this on a rig and was contemplating one of these:

I have used the Silvershield on all the trucks I have surveyed out of over the years.
http://silvershieldsystem.com/
It allows for easy access to all sides of the truck. But like I said this is the only thing I have used.

If I didn't have the bed I do, that is exactly what I would get!

How much is a SS now a days? They were very expensive last time I used one and the shipping to get it to you was like $600.

I use the UnderCover SE on my truck (2007 Chevrolet 1500).

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you...
