Hi everybody?ÿ

My TS12 RH16 lost connection with CS15, as I was working with it.

I can't get it to work again, the exclamation light(last light from left to right on the RH) is on.

Any ideas?

Thanks?ÿ?ÿ

I am not familiar with either unit, but, is there a way to do a soft/hard reset of each unit?

Though itƒ??s been several years since Iƒ??ve had a 15 in hand, I did have the same thing happen once or twice with that setup. If I had to guess Iƒ??d look at the connection settings in the collector. Though I did, for good measure, disconnect the RH and lightly scrape the connectors w my pocket knife and wipe them down with alcohol. But IIRC, what ended up solving it was going into the connection settings and flipping it from long range Bluetooth to some other option, then flipping got back again and forcing it to find the RH (as if it were a new connection). The whole thing was reminiscent of when your wifi quits working and you just have to un/replug the router and let your PC find it again.

A knife sounds too aggressive. If the contacts are visibly discolored, I'd try a red pencil eraser or a piece of one followed by the alcohol, and then a contact protective spray like DeOxit.

In many cases just the spray and a few connect-disconnect cycles has fixed connector problems in other equipment.

@bill93

I wasnƒ??t terribly aggressive with it- same pressure youƒ??d use to, say, scrape a scratch-off ticket with a pocket knife.

I was out in the woods, used what was available- that I had a couple of wet naps stuffed in the robot case was pretty miraculous.

This typically means the radio module inside the radio handle has gone bad. It can be replaced at most of the repair centers.?ÿ

If the last light is on, you are in reconfiguration settings, not the communication mode. This happens to me sometimes when I operate until the battery runs slam dry. just reset up the instrument, handle and controller, pitb.
