I got 41 out of 44, but hardly any of those trees are native to Central or West Texas. There was no Mesquite or Huisache, for example, but a ton of Maples, and definitely no Alligator Junipers or Texas Madrones.

I thought for sure that the Hackberry would throw you off since it looked too well watered to be growing along a fenceline North of the Red River.

It was definitely a healthy specimen. I also have never seen a sycamore with the type of seed pods shown in the photos, although I went with the leaf shape which was definitely sycamore.
ps - I must have been a Koala bear in a former life. I shot from the hip and nailed that one.
41. Never seen a redwood.

A lowly 33, but should have been 34 as I pressed the wrong part of screen.
Not too bad for an Aussie I expect.
I got 39. Unfortunately, though, the ones in the woods don't have multiple choice.

Not an American sycamore, but a sycamore maple.

I got a 41, but I protest the above.

40 here, because I guessed at 25, and I too protest.

Kind of a lame quiz.
42 here. The Maul Oak got me on one and I forgot the other. Most of the wrong answers were so wrong.
41. When I wrote for my British Columbia Land Surveyor's exam, ( 1974-1976, never did get my license ) we had a 8 hour exam on tree identification, and different type of rocks, We called it the " Sticks and Stones exam "
I am not a tree guy, and most of those Trees are not in Texas, however I didnt use any of the hints and got a 38. It had more to do with the choices, only 3 of them and I could tell it was an Oak leaf and they only had one Oak as an answer, same with the Maple leaves. Also they list choices that have already been used as answers. Also it was easy to eliminate one or two of the choices. Would be much more difficult if they had more than 3 choices and were in the same Genus
Gottem all.
Dumb luck or Wooden Head matching the subject at hand ?

Yep - that's why I said it was kinda lame. Like any one of dozens of little quizzes that appear on Facebooger - where anyone can feel like they're "...as smart as Einstein".
