We had that happen. Two recorded subdivision plats. Second supposed to supersede the first (road was build in the wrong place). The attorney writing the deed cited the wrong plat. What was really interesting is the the deed conveyed two lots in the same subdivision to the same grantee. Two descriptions in the deed: one for one lot, citing the correct plat, one for the other lot citing the plat that had been superseded.
And my condolences.
Wow - that's one of the rudest remarks I've ever heard! Shame on you...
Amen brother.
And my condolences to you Don B.
Yeah, and my condolences to those Land Surveyors that need to have their plans reviewed by "grown-ups" before they can record.
In the Professional States we stand by our work and don't have to bend to someone else's opinion to stamp our own plan.
And my condolences???? Really?
All appointed/elected county surveyors and so called "professional" reviewers (GIS gurus, etc.) are assumed to have been bestowed with superior knowledge and abilities based solely upon their attained title & position? Wow.
Don, you know better than that.
And my condolences to you Don B.

:good:
I think I'd try limburger with that particular whine. But possibly consult Mr. McMillan if you want a more sophicated opinion......;-)
And my condolences???? Really?
The problem, well, one of the problems with trying to communicate on the internet, is that you can't see people's faces and expressions.
There is a lot lost when we have to rely only on the black and white font before us.
Thank you, Brian, for at least giving me the respect to say "You know better than that."
I do know better than whatever it was you all were reacting to.
Rude? Me?
😛
Don
And my condolences???? Really?
Don,
You crack me up!! We definitely need to meet sometime 😀

I would really like that!
The thing is, is it more likely for you to come to California or for me to go to Idaho?
🙂
Hey, I just thought of something ( someone ) we probably both respect in common, or at least don't judge too harshly - Claude Dallas.
Last I heard, he was driving shuttle for rafters.
I'm sorry, I always think of Claude when I think of the ION area.
And of Winnemucca, of course, where I have spent many pleasurable days.
Staking mining claims, of course.
Don
When you walk into a records room and have every map and corner record you need (or do the same on the web) it is likely the home of a good County Surveyor.
