RX Light is flashing orange, no transmission and I cannot seem to connect to the receiver via serial to see what is up via Modem-TPS. No trauma to the receiver, just fired up this way the other day. Anyone run into this? Is this bad news (hope not)?

Thanks,

Matt

Try a reset or reboot before you try to sinc up with the PC. (I'm sorry I can't remember how to do that to a Hiper).

I've never seen one that wouldn't talk to TPS Modem, even when the radio board was toast.

We had a unit that did the same thing. Couldn't connect to Modem TPS to change channel. It turned out the modem was bad. If thats the case i believe its a couple grand for a new one. Good luck. I would try what was stated above clear nvram and hard reboot.

The manual has a scenario for every color, but orange (on the RX LED)

They also suggest clearing the NVRAM.

1. Turn on the receiver.
2. Press and hold the FN key.
3. Press and hold the POWER key for about one second. Release the POWER key while continuing to hold the FN key.
4. Wait until the STAT and REC LEDs are green.
5. Wait until the STAT nad REC LEDs blink orange.
6. Release the FN key while the STAT and REC LEDs blink orange.

That usually works for me when things get screwy.
