Just thought that an Older Surveyor should say "Hello".

I was just looking at my brand new Gurley Transit, boy she is a doozy! Now if I could just find my jar of Naval Jelly so I can clean off my chain, I can get back in the field and make some real money!

I tell ya, there ain't a lot of jobs out there where one can make $ 75 a day!

Naval Jelly for those who don't know, is a rust remover, don't know if you can still get it or not, been about 25 years since I bought a jar of it.

Jud, I can only find naval jelly at every hardware store I can think of.

I keep my chain in its original oiled paper cover. Keeps it shiny and bright.

:good:

Best way to keep a chain clean is to use it.

And to dry it off after dragging it through wet grass, with a WD 40 treatment after drying.

YES! I second that but along with praise I want donations too. Anything of substantial financial will suffice. Will pick up.

Y’all have a great week! B-)

Note to Don: Dude, quit poking on that whale, he looks like he’s about to open a big can of Whoop-Ass on you. 😉

Never could figure out why they called it Kentucky Jelly instead of Kentucky Jam, since that's what ya use it for 😀

I think them other fellers are a tad young!

I got my chain ready..

and my Naval Jelly

Now I have a serious question.

It's been a while since I been surveying and I am not up to speed on the wage situation, so, do you think $ 1.75 an hour is too much to pay a party chief?
