I was walking a beautiful old pecan orchard that backs up to some thick woods yesterday with a client. A young fawn popped up from the edge of the woods and seemed confused as to which way to go. My client noted he had seen them in there grazing in the mornings. We retreated to give the fawn some breathing room and it bleated a few times, looking for momma. I'm sure momma was well tucked in the cover but close by.
Sure enough, as soon as we appeared to be heading away the fawn flicked its ear and looked quickly to the woods. I bet momma gave it a sound. Away it leaped and was seen no more. Would've been a nice pic like yours if I had a camera ready.
I suggest you may not want to post pictures (in public forum) of your crew on railroad tracks. Railroad company's frown upon that, and it may come back on you.
Its a private siding to a quarry, only run 4 times a week and have secured permission.

Even if FredH was on the railroad without permission there are 1.7 million graduating seniors with professional photos taken while posing on the tracks that they'll need to pursue first.
Some very fast camera work, NICE!!

Looking forward to deer season... tasty....
Couple years ago I was driving along the SD NE fence looking for a harn, couple miles from anything, window down, music cranked, jamming out. Something lunged toward me from the fence right on the edge of my peripheral and screamed. It was an antelope fawn diving under fence and had gotten stuck. It got out and took off, my heart rate was 190+ for 2 hours.
Fred,
I have to ask. What is with those pants? Are those pedal pushers? Long shorts? Bloused trousers? I think I can see skin above the boot tops.
I prefer shorter shorts, my damn self.

The women folk call them capris.
They have also been described as pedal pushers.

[SARCASM]well the pants are hemmed right for when he's wearing them in saggy mode[/SARCASM]
Richard Imrie, I know it's a thread hijack, but that is the bravest thing I think I've ever seen. Never miss an opportunity to tune in to those OZ nature shows for the number of deadly creatures in that part of the world. Our water moccasins and copperheads have nothing on those deadly critters.

You're talking about the guy whose coffee pot has been blinking 12:00 since he bought it. You want to get him a Go-Pro ???
This body cam stuff reminded me of the dash cam video shown on the news yesterday or the day before where a tree suddenly slams down in the road directly in front of an SUV (I think), the SUV hits it and the rear end flies up about four feet in the air. That had to be very bad for the driver and any passengers. WOW!!!
I saw that video on the news as well. Yes, it was a SUV. I'm rather sure the air bags deployed as well. As they pointed out on the news, if the tree had come down a couple seconds later, the outcome could have been much worse.
A giant karate chop directly on the passenger area would have been fatal for sure.
