I was asked to provide a corporate seal for the signing of a contract,I dont have one, never have had one and have not needed one for all these years.

It's required for corporations, at least here.. So, yes we have one, and if you are a corporation then you should have one, too..

Yes....when you form a corporation in NY State, you have to do several different filings and obtain a corporate seal.
To date (since 1982) I think I used it twice.
Our bank requires a corporate seal for any corporate resolutions. You will usually find it in your corporate book. The attorney that created our corporation kept our book and seal until I insisted he hand them over. He seemed very offended.

yes i have one. i got it when i incorporated. i think i have used it 2 or 3 times.
