Staking line from a C1/4 to the E1/4, I seem to encounter one of these about every five or so years, this one is of the less extreme variety:

I'm standing on line under the cliff looking almost due east, no doubt the fence will slide north for a bit to miss this little embankment.

The last one I did was way cooler, it dropped about 80 feet before sliding into the valley below, the stake in the edge looked really cool.

In this picture the C1/4 is a couple of hundred feet to the right or west of the lone tree near the old fence, it's about the same distance east of an intersecting fence.

Then it turns south and heads down the N-S centerline.

Where are you? (I mean geographically, like what State?)

Here's one that might help your nose bleed. I hiked up the mountain into this spot, this is what's left of a bearing tree, there were two, both now gone, this one is still there, it sure "fits" the record, at least what I would call the original position from some upturned rocks:

And as I was hiking out I came across this:

It wasn't me that did this, I'll let you guess what it means, and I will say I didn't need to see it to know, I had already seen enough in the area.

So you're saying you're not sure you can run faster on bare ground than a bear can on SH#t?

I watched a bear take a canyon wall not far from this area, straight up faster than I could run down it, seeing that can open a guy's eyes to what you could be up against.

He climbed a good thousand feet before he disappeared in the rocks.

And I'm saying what is said on a public forum........

I saw a bumper sticker that said "be nice to fat people, they may save your life someday"
with a picture of a bear chasing a person.
I laughed then thought, hey I resemble that remark.
