There are websites that claim to sell unopened Civil 3D 2010 or 2011 for around $1000. Are these places for real? Do you have a problem registering them? I am using Civil 3d 2008 and I can't justify the $5000+ to upgrade to current, even though I would like to keep current.
What websites offer C3D, please?

I didn't spend much time looking at this website, so I don't know what it says between the lines.

Don't know for sure but .....It has to be a scam, doesn't it? Pirate clones? Downloads that never happen?

You can't legally buy older versions of C3D.
Autodesk licenses individuals to use their products - you don't actually own the software.
Once the new version comes out, you can't "buy" the old version.
This is a scam, and you will be using the software illegally, and will be subject to their settlement/fines if discovered.
Wasn't there a court case sometime back involving softdesk that ruled that the software could be sold to a third party? I think it involved used software, don't remember the details.
fwiw, it still sounds like a scam.

Autodesk won on appeal.
I agree. It's no place for my credit card number, even if that take your number with top efficiency!
AutoDesk police are already on them...

I believe that is true in GB and the European Union. Reuse and Resell laws in America are not universal to the World.
“This is a scam, and you will be using the software illegally, and will be subject to their settlement/fines if discovered.”
I don’t think there is one piece of software that hasn’t been hacked. With Auto Desk most of their programs are available from “pirates” before introduced to the general public. Obtaining these hacked programs for free is another story. Apparently if you are not a recognized “pirate” if you download a hacked program chances are you will download a worm or virus as well that will make everything go wacko. So, in the long run it’s probably cheaper to just buy the damned software but that is difficult considering the outrageous prices software makers charge for an “update”. And really, just what does an “update” contain? New menus or fonts or some such silly nonsense all for the low, low price of (you fill in the blank).
Just my 0.04’
Have a great weekend! B-)
It is probably a scam mostly and a fee to help you download what is already available on the web.
There are torrent download sites online already that you can download nearly any software for free.
I was shown them before and don't remember the sites to go to that will search for the software that you would want like entire operating systems, games, music and most any dedicated programs like Civil 3D.
:-O
