I don't have a favorite to side with on this but figured all would enjoy the topic:

Anyone know if this has been filed with the Supreme Court yet?

Atlanta needs to solve their own water problems without trying to steal ours.
I live in Georgia and believe the?ÿState Line is a settled issue.?ÿ It's been there for over 200 years so as far as I'm concerned that's where it stays.?ÿ That's what the State gets for letting a math teacher from the University of Georgia do the arithmetic.

Same old same old.

Happened with the 107th also. Congress passed a law to move the border, then the BLM drew a map, but never monumented it, they never really said which 107th to use.
Move the 4 corners while you're at it.
Having recently left the Atlanta area and moved to Florida, I agree that the State Line should be left alone and Atlanta needs to solve their water issue. When driving through the City of Atlanta, a numer of apparent wasteful leaks could be observed. A system of Regional Reservoirs would be more cost effective than pumping?ÿover or tunneling under a significant mountain range and would also provide recreation. Besides all that, Georgia does not need anymore Tennessee fans living in the State. Go Dawgs.
Lewis, if you remember Georgia pursued regional reservoirs back in the 1990s and caught a BUNCH of flack from Florida and Alabama about keeping "their" water.?ÿ If you remember Tom Murphy (Speaker of the House) had bought up a bunch of property in West Georgia for a proposed reservoir.?ÿ We designed three reservoirs and it took YEARS to get EPA, EPD and Corps of Engineers approval.

Yes Andy I remember. Now that I have moved to Florida, I really like those Apalachicola oysters, so I would propose that the reservoirs be along the river system going to the Atlantic.
The political will is only going to happen when the region has a long term drought. When this happened a while back, the State Line issue and the Regional Reservoir idea were popular topics. ?ÿDuring that period of time, the Head of the Atlanta Regional Commission stated at a Transportation Summit that the water supply issue would be a bigger problem for Atlanta going forward than transportation. ?ÿIf that turns out to be true, I will only go through Atlanta with a large supply of water when there is no alternative.
