Just finished a formal Board of Control meeting. From all the hearsay I was expecting a huge protest from the audience. I showed up, two engineers for the project sat around the table, the owner's two reps. sat down. Finally one lady came in and protested for a bit about letters she received from the state that had little to do with the issue at hand. 30 minutes and we were done!!!!!!!!

I've been in them that take hours and you kinda want to have security there through the process.?ÿ

Probably some sort of governmental regulation agency that is open to the public to voice their concerns over something they dislike on the agenda.?ÿ
I.e.: Planning (no dumpsters on the roof), zoning (7000 units per acre would not have any impact whatsoever), engineering (umm, yes, no, maybe, sure, after ??studies?) and of course whose going to pay for this year??s fireworks display, corn hole festival, and hot dog eating contest? ?????ÿ

In California the Board of Control is where a citizen can go to make a claim of damages, and contractors can pursue their complaint if the agency denied their extra costs, stuff like that. If the Board denies their claim then they can sue the state.

The Board here oversees water distribution. The process set up by Elwood Mead of Lake Mead fame. Today we were dealing with one of "his" old adjudications. A territorial right that is valuable to have. Anyway went smooth, someone went around and unruffled feathers. I think ?????ÿ
