There's no fix, but symptoms are eased by 500mg of vitamin C morning and evening, and throat lozenges containing zinc.

Well normally I would be feeling the same pain but not this week, ha ha
hired a kid for $20 EC to guide me to the top of a 1500' Ridgeline between the twin pitons and sure enough found a triangulation station while the family went shopping, surveyors sure do have a strange way of enjoying themselves on vacation,

Nice shirt; but your pole doesn't look very plumb....

Be sure you get plenty of fiber, too...

Unbelievable as it may seem I have become a raw broccoli aficionado so I get plenty of fiber.
SWMBO chops up fresh broccoli florets, tomatoes, sweet onions, raisins and a mayonnaise based dressing with sugar and vinegar. It's not only really good it's good for you. 😎

Climate Change is brutal no matter where you are.
Yeah, tell me. When I went to Jacksonville, it was 50 degrees, and I couldn't understand why no one was on the beach.
Yesterday, I worked through the Packer Game, -2; with wind, -20.
Got down to 46å¡ here last night. Turned on the heat for the first time this winter.

And what a game it was! Final charge down the field, under a minute, no time-outs left, third and 11....Rodgers to Nelson for a sixty yard pass and a first down. Spike the ball to stop the clock and bring in Mason Crosby to kick a winning three as the clock expired. Down go 'da Bears'...Packer football at its finest!
St. Vincent heard our prayers. 😉
I'll be up there next month to visit family. Last year it was 12 below. On the way home it didn't make it above zero until I was south of Rockford, Ill.

Yeah, I recorded it and watched it after I got done staking iron.
Nice coooold beer, and no idea whether they won or lost. Time warp. I was in the dumps up until the Nelson run - why in heck did he stumble and fall after he caught the pass? Montgomery would have turned a somersault, stiff-armed LeBlanc, and charged in to the end zone with 4 Bears hanging on him.
But the spike and field goal with 3 seconds on the clock! As good as the Ice Bowl, which I watched from the bathtub at the frat house, the only place the Brothers could put me so I'd "behave". :p

You must have just a few years on me. I think I was a sophomore or junior in HS and watched it on our B&W tv. At the time we were all Cowboy fans down here (I have repented). That was before I met an angel from Wisconsin that showed me what real beer, cheese and sausage was like.

Hey, if you're coming this way, look me up.
I drink German beer and eat home made deer sausage. You too!
And to think as of today, the Soltice, it's finally winter! Woot woot.

I'm thinking there is some Ancient Druid ritual I should celebrate for the Solstice. Possibly something to do with the quaffing of alcohol and then skewering your worst enemy (or client, as the case may be) and roasting their carcass on a huge bonfire to guarantee the return of the Sun. The high priestess (SWMBO) can then predict the future new year from observing my drunken convulsions with my head in the porcelain throne.
All in the name of tradition of course. 😉

Paden,
Unfortunately, you've bought into the Christian bias and prejudices against pagan nature religions such as the Druids, Celts and others who had winter solstice rituals.
You can stick with the Christian tradition of burning at the stake etc. They far outnumbered the ancient rituals.
That being said ( I guess that I crossed the p&r line), there is nothing wrong with a nice seasonal bon fire.

I think you're right...I got it mixed up with the Baptist's Christmas program down the street! 😉
(now it IS p&r..)
It's not official, but the big digital sign outside the bank this afternoon said it was 51 F. That's a long way from the -4 F record breaking morning this past weekend. That set a record for the coldest temperature for one local city on December 18 and was the coldest on that date by about 6 degrees since 1964, I believe.
