search for "Automotive light bars" Somewhat spendy for the light bars, regular strobes aren't too bad ... I have a nifty one on my truck in Nome, Blue and Amber with spotlights on each end.

I bought my Whelen amber strobe light from Northern Tool. It is a magnetic mount, round strobe, but they had a decent selection in the store. I can use mine on the truck or the UTV.

Whelen, Grote, etc. Stick to professional grade such as those brnads, maybe TruckLite too. I would go with a LED bar, as bright or brighter, no moving parts and low power draw.

AWDrect is a good source, I have used them for a few things.

A couple years back we were looking for such things in Portland. A quick google search found us a store specializing in the things 2 miles from our office. We were able to stop in after lunch, examine a number of alternatives, and the store had them professionally installed for what we thought was a very reasonable fee. There is a lot to be said for bricks and mortar.

I have to second the LED statement.

I have run my strobe light off of my truck all day with it sitting on one spot, only starting it up once or twice throughout the day. The draw on my light is almost nothing. It must be an LED because it is very bright, and can be seen for a good distance.

I also have to second Norm's statement. If there is a local dealer that specializes in that sort of thing, I would use them. There is a lot to be said for supporting your local businesses.

I can't recall the name of the company but I remember seeing a truck around STL, with lots of graphics on it. It is a company that by the sound of the name, specializes in vehicle safety lighting.

I know that's not much help. What you need is an employee that can cobble together a cheap light off ebay and make a really cool switch setup. Just don't pull the dash panel off, there are enough wires there to confuse a bomb technician 😉

Funny you should say that. I have a gigantic light bar I can give you. It looks like one you would see on an ambulance from the the Canon Ball Run movie circa late 70's. When driving around town we are often mistaken for a cop. And it has gobs of wires and switches everywhere to boot. 🙂

I remember seeing a field pic of your truck not long ago, this extra light bar I have would look good on your truck, as I don't recall your truck having one, and I am sure you could install it with no problem.
