Suddenly my computer with Windows 7 Professional goes into the screen saver mode after 10 minutes, but instead of screen saver, it logs me off, and I have to enter password to resume. I don't think I accidentally change anything. Can anyone tell me how to get it back to where it doesn't log me off when I am not using it?

Blame it on gremlins or the biggest virus of them all.... windows.

Try the following (hope it's the right solution):

press the start button

in the search area, type "screen saver"

look for and select "set screen saver password"

this should bring up a new window.

Look for a check box labeled "on resume display logon screen" and uncheck the box

I think you need to check your power savings settings.
Sleep mode is different than screen saver.

If it's a 'screen saver problem', John Got it.
If it's a 'requiring you to 'log-on', Eric has it.

search for 'power options'

Require a password on wake up, select "don't require password on wake up",
this may cause a security risk, as anyone can wake it up and have your data available.

What I had attempted to get at is that there are power options under the screen saver function......:-)
